Forever Young is from the southwest corner of New Mexico, featuring Dale Young on bass and vocals and Kip Calahan Young on vocals and guitar. Dale retired after 21 years with the Navy Seabees. He started playing bass about a year ago after he heard the Lords call. Kip is an award winning Western singer/songwriter. She has been playing music for over 25 years. Dale and Kip are now committed to serving the Lord Jesus Christ through Christian music sharing their testimonies and love for the Lord.
Dale’s TestimonyI was saved at the age of 11 on January 6, 1974. Born and raised in Frederick, Maryland, I grew up in a strong Christian family. My dad played the bass in honky tonks for years until one night he accepted the Lord after hearing a preacher on an AM radio station coming home one night after a show. Since that night he has been playing and singing strictly for the Lord and is still playing today. I never did pick up the bass as a teenager and had some regret. In the year of 2009 the Lord was dealing with my life and what direction I needed to take to serve Him. For about 2 months the Holy Spirit was waking me up every morning around 2:00 AM. As a result, I picked up the bass guitar and started playing gospel music. It is an honor to be able to start a music ministry with my wife, Kip.
Kip’s Testimony Born and raised in Glenwood Springs, Colorado I had a wonderful childhood. I went on the road and playing music since I was 18 years old. I always felt like there was something missing in my life. At the suggestion of a friend I visited a church in southern Kentucky. The Holy Spirit touched my heart and I was saved and baptized. Unfortunately it wasn’t until a few years ago I stopped playing “church”. Meeting Dale has been a gift from God. Playing Christian music and singing praise and worship songs at our local church every Sunday has brought me more joy than I could have ever imagined. We believe in the power of praying together as a couple and being equally yoked.
